The battery inside the remote for the Toyota Corolla will deplete over time with use, and you will need to replace it. To do this, use a flathead screwdriver to pry around the edge of the remote until it opens. Remove the internal part and, using your screwdriver again, pry around the edge to access the battery compartment.

Carefully remove the old battery and replace it with a new CR2016, ensuring the correct polarity is observed. Close the internal cover, place it back inside the remote, and reassemble the casing.
