To change the front headlamp bulb on a 2004 Toyota Prius: unfortunately, to remove the headlight assembly, you must also remove the front mask as there are screws secured between the headlight assembly and the mask. To remove the first, you must remove the second. It’s not difficult as it only involves disconnecting some plugs and unscrewing the two screws that hold these two parts together. Now, easily change the bulb. Simply open the rear cover, remove the clip holding the bulb in place, pull out the bulb, and replace it with a new one (remember not to touch it with bare hands). Close the cover, and now all that’s left is to put everything back in place following the reverse order.
