How to Replace the Fuel Pump on the Toyota Sienna V6 2WD 3.5L xl30

This guide shows how to replace the fuel pump on the Toyota Sienna V6 2WD 3.5L xl30. As it is a return fuel system, all components that supply the engine are located inside the tank, but you cannot access these elements until the entire tank is removed from the vehicle. The first step is to empty the tank to lighten it. Remove the fuel pump relay from the fuse box in the engine compartment and start the engine a few times to depressurise the system. Disconnect the battery. Once the vehicle is raised, remove the protective shield of the tank and disconnect all fuel hoses. Using a jack and support, unbolt the tank and remove it from the vehicle. Clean the top of the tank, remove the fuel pump control wires, and using the appropriate removal tool, unscrew the inspection cap. Be careful with the pump spring. Remove the pump assembly and replace the part. At this stage, it is also possible to replace other circuit elements such as the pressure regulator. Reassemble everything in position. Turn on the instrument panel a few times to pressurise the system before starting the engine.
