On a Toyota Camry, the fuel door can get stuck, for example, due to a failure of the release mechanism or the lock actuator. In these cases, you can still perform an emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial.

First, open the trunk. Then, locate the small cap on the left wall and remove it. Next, grab the yellow lever accessible through the hole, pull it towards you, and release the lock.

At this point, you can refuel and replace the damaged component.
