To reset the Service light on a Toyota Avensis, turn on the instrument cluster by turning the key in the ignition. Once it is on, repeatedly press the button on the left side of the cluster until "Trip A" appears.

When this is displayed, turn off the instrument cluster and then press and hold the button. While holding the button, turn the key to continue holding it until the light is reset, then you can turn off the cluster.
