In order to replace the battery pack of the Toyota Prius Hybrid, you need to open the rear hatch so that you can detach the carpet lining at the base of the trunk. Once this is removed, you will be able to locate the battery pack underneath which can be disconnected from the appropriate cables and freed from the securing bolts. Once the pack has been freed, it can be removed from its housing to be replaced with a new one; this way you can ensure that everything is functioning properly.
