Today we will see in this short and simple guide how to reset the engine control unit and how to reset the engine malfunction light of the Toyota Yaris. First of all, let's open the engine hood and start by disconnecting both battery terminals, using a star key; in this way the control unit will be disconnected from the power supply, turning off and performing a reset. We then wait a couple of minutes before reconnecting the battery; once connected, we check that any errors have been cleared, but if this is not the case, a diagnostic tool will be necessary.
