When the cigarette lighter socket in a Toyota Corolla stops working, it may be necessary to replace the fuse. The relevant fuse is located inside the fuse box in the cabin; the fuses are numbered 21 (15 Amp) and 28 (15 Amp). To replace one of the fuses, open the fuse box and remove the damaged fuse, then insert the new fuse into the box. If the cigarette lighter still does not work, check the internal connector of the socket and replace it if necessary.
