To replace the key battery in a Toyota Camry, start by extracting the mechanical key from the smart key. Look for a small button or lever on the side of the key, press it, and pull to remove the physical key. With the mechanical key removed, locate the slot or notch on the smart key. Use the mechanical key or a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the slot, separating the two halves of the smart key. Once the key is open, locate the battery inside.

Note the position and orientation of the battery.

Remove the old battery and replace it with a new one, ensuring the positive (+) side is in the correct position. Snap the two halves of the smart key back together until you hear a click.

Finally, reinsert the mechanical key into the smart key. Test the key by pressing the buttons to ensure the new battery is installed correctly.
