In order to disassemble the Derbi engine, you need to loosen the screws that fix the block to its housing, so that the latter can be removed from the frame: when the support screws have been loosened, it will be possible to proceed by disconnecting the connectors and tubes. In this way, you can unscrew the screws that fix the cylinder to the top of the engine block, so that it can be removed: the piston contained internally must be detached from the connecting rod, while the latter must be detached from the crankshaft. The additional internal components can be removed and replaced with other spare parts.

How to Replace the Engine Oil and Oil Filter on an Aprilia RSV 1000

This short video will show you how to carry out the routine maintenance service by replacing the engine oil and oil filter on the Aprilia RSV 1000 motorcycle. First, place your motorcycle on the centre stand and start by unscrewing the oil drain bolt located under the engine, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes; then use the appropriate tool to unscrew and remove the oil filter, replacing the cartridge with a new one as shown in the video.
