Using the same tool, also remove the upper screw. This allows you to slide out the lever you intend to replace and fit the new one. The price of the replacement part may vary depending on the type of vehicle you are working on; for instance, a touring motorcycle will have different prices compared to a racing bike or a scooter. Simply refit the new part in place, starting with the upper screw, then the lower one. Tighten securely, but do not overtighten to avoid damaging the thread.
