To prevent a lean mixture from causing engine seizure, chamfer the throttle plate slightly. A small chamfer will help maintain a sufficiently rich idle to avoid seizure. Additionally, if the needle has a greater taper at the tip, it will allow for increased fuel flow, while you can adjust the airflow by reducing it; remember that you cannot completely close it.
