How to adjust the minimum of a carburetor

In this video, we see how to adjust the idle of a carburetor. To do this, we need to increase the airflow by using a tapered needle, and to prevent the mixture from being too lean and causing engine seizure, we need to round off the throttle valve. A small rounding off will help us maintain a sufficiently rich idle to avoid seizure. Additionally, the needle has a greater taper at the tip, resulting in a greater fuel enrichment and increased fuel flow. On the other hand, we can decrease the airflow by adjusting it, but remember that we cannot completely close it.

Change the battery to a Vespa 125 GTS

To change the battery on our Vespa 125, let's start by removing the platform that covers the battery compartment, fixed by 4 screws. Then we remove the two screws that secure the battery to the floor. Now we can see the battery poles: we always remove the black one, the negative one, first. We can take out the battery. For a better grip of the bolts, insert a small piece of plastic where they will be inserted. Put it back in its housing, reattach the positive pole and then the negative one. Secure the battery to the floor with its two screws. Replace the footboard covering the battery compartment. Job finished.
