How to register a new hood in case it needs to be replaced

In this video we see how to adjust the alignment of a hood in case it needs to be replaced or removed for repainting. When we put it back in place, it may not automatically return to its original position; all hoods have adjustment screws. Initially, we place them in a rather central position without tightening them; we remove the lock because it could accidentally close and not reopen (the lock also has adjustments). When we close the hood, we make sure it does not scratch the glass or seals and then make our adjustments, acting accordingly on the screws. We perform checks with a thickness gauge and tighten the bolts. Now we reassemble the lock (reconnecting the control cable, otherwise the hood will not open) and adjust it in turn, ensuring that the hinge aligns with the center of the lock. It is important not to slam it but only guide it. We try to open it from the inside, if everything is in order the job has been done well.
