On the other hand, they offer less driving comfort, the lower sidewall is subject to damage and punctures, and they may have less grip on slippery terrain. We also examine the difference between wide and narrow tires: wide tires offer a larger contact surface with the asphalt, while narrow tires are less prone to aquaplaning. Wide tires can transmit more noise and vibrations, reducing driving comfort, while narrow tires are quieter.
