How to properly remove a fuse

Removing a fuse from its box is a simple operation, but it requires some precautions: first of all, the car must be turned off. We locate the fuse box we are interested in, and we equip ourselves with a flashlight and a pair of disposable gloves. Usually the boxes have a cover with a mirrored diagram that indicates the function of each individual fuse. The burnt fuse is often visually identifiable, because it has a broken internal filament, or it is blackened. Often the tweezers for removing the fuse are part of the equipment, otherwise we use a thin tweezers and pull upwards. If the fuse is burnt, replace it with one of the same amperage, until you hear the "click". In the fuse box we never use screwdrivers or metallic objects, because we could cause a short circuit, and we never replace the fuse with one of a different amperage. If the fuse burns again, it means there is an electrical fault.
