How to hand sew a broken seam on a leather car seat

In this video, we see how to re-stitch the leather seat seam of our car, where the stitching thread may have broken. We need a curved upholstery needle of the appropriate size (not too thin because we may need to pull it with pliers) and strong upholstery cotton thread. We unpick another piece to create a tail of thread that we will let hang out, and we make sure there are no pieces of thread on the seam we need to repair. We start from the point where the thread protrudes, leaving a nice tail of the new thread: we begin by inserting the needle into the existing holes of the upper seam, then into those of the lower seam, being careful not to tangle the thread or form loops, always pulling it straight. It doesn't matter if it's pulled tight, as long as it goes into the existing holes. Once we reach the other end, we repeat the process, creating a tail on the other side as well. Now we pull the thread until we have a perfect fit of the two parts. We tie the two tails at both ends and cut them, and it's done!
