The best method is to use an OBD2 scanner, connecting it to the EOBD port; read the error code, repair the fault, clear the code with the scanner, and the light will turn off. You can also try disconnecting the battery: disconnect the negative terminal and leave it disconnected for half an hour. However, this will also reset the radio, clock, and electronic memories. On modern cars, there is the ignition cycle method: insert the key and turn it to ON for 2 seconds, then to OFF for 2 seconds: repeat this about ten times until the light turns off. It only works if the problem is resolved and the ECU has completed its diagnostic tests. On cars with self-diagnosis, simply drive 50/100 miles in mixed conditions after resolving the issue: the light will turn off automatically.

How to Open a Stuck Boot on the Peugeot 407?

On the Peugeot 407, the boot may become stuck, possibly due to a problem with the control button or the lock actuator. In such cases, you can perform an emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First, open the rear doors, then lower the seat back by operating the release lever. Next, go inside the boot, locate the lock, and manually operate it using a flathead screwdriver. The boot will then be free to open.
