What to Do If the Engine Warning Light Comes On?

An illuminated engine warning light on a moving vehicle raises suspicion and anxiety as it is a generic warning light, and we cannot be sure it concerns a minor issue. The engine fault light relates to both mechanical and electrical components of the vehicle. If it lights up, first check its colour. If the light is red, it indicates a clear and potentially serious fault; in this case, pull over and have the vehicle taken to a garage. If the light is orange/yellow, it means the fault is not obvious and not excessively serious, so you can calmly continue to the garage.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
