What to do when the AdBlue warning light comes on? When the AdBlue light illuminates and starts flashing, it means that the fluid in the designated reservoir has reached the minimum level. It is therefore necessary to refill the AdBlue reservoir as soon as possible. AdBlue, also known as DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid), is an essential additive for the operation of diesel vehicles equipped with SCR catalysts, effective in reducing nitrogen oxide emissions. If the AdBlue runs out, it will not be possible to restart the engine. Generally, a full tank of AdBlue allows for over 6,000 miles without needing to top up, but sometimes more frequent intervention is required (depending on the tank capacity and driving style).
