Electrical Connection for Tow Bar

In this video, we will see how to install a tow bar for the car, describing the mechanical part, which involves (and varies depending on the model of tow bar) removing the rear bumper and securing the cover and support for the tow bar, and running the electrical connection (from the light). To carry out this installation, it is advisable to have good knowledge of electrical engineering as you will need to make electrical connections intercepting the original wiring of the vehicle, correctly interpreting the wiring diagram to relay the commands for the lights and indicators to the trailer. Start by removing the boot trim and the load floor from the rear boot to access the fuse box, where you will intercept and make the connections; begin by taking a positive from the main power cable to connect to the control unit, inserting a fuse in between; then connect the ground to the vehicle chassis; complete the connections respecting the wire colours and the respective signals for the position lights, brakes, and indicators, intercepting them from the rear light power socket, adequately insulating the connections.
