How to Change the Stabiliser Bar Bushes

Let's see how to replace the stabiliser bar bushes, which connect the left and right suspension to reduce body roll in corners. It is fixed to the chassis via rubber bushes, which wear out over time due to the continuous oscillation of the bar. If you hear squeaks or sharp knocks coming from the suspension, it means it is time to change them. Lift the car, supporting it from both sides of the axle. It is not necessary to remove the entire bar or disconnect the links. Simply remove the metal brackets that secure the bushes to the chassis (often with two bolts each); once the brackets are unscrewed, the bushes can be easily removed from the bar due to their slot. Clean the area of the bar where the new bushes will be mounted, and lubricate the inside of the new bush with silicone spray (never use grease or oil: they will damage the rubber). Position the new bush on the bar, reattach the metal bracket, and tighten the bolts. The bushes should always be replaced in pairs to ensure uniform suspension behaviour.
