How to Remove an Aftermarket Immobiliser System from a Car?
Model: (Various brands) Various
Video tutorial
The procedure described involves disabling an aftermarket immobiliser system, which is very different from disabling the factory immobiliser, a complex operation not recommended for a hobbyist. First, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Locate the module under the dashboard (usually a black box) and look for wires that have been cut and whose ends are connected to the alarm module (which works by interrupting a circuit, such as the fuel pump supply). Cut the wires going to the module and restore the original connection of the wires: the video shows the use of a "crimp" to reconnect them. After joining the wires, insulate them with electrical tape, remove the old module, reconnect the battery, and check that the car starts and functions correctly.
