In this video, we can see the main reasons why the immobiliser alarm on your car isn't working. The first reason is that the key's chip may be damaged; the signal sent by the key will be incorrect, and the vehicle will not recognise it. In this case, you need to remove the chip and check it. Chips can be made of glass, ceramic, or completely electronic, and they may have got wet. There are specific tools that can determine this.

The immobiliser's antenna may also have got wet. A tester exists for this, but you can make one at home using an LED and a small coil made of electrical wire; this same problem can also be caused by disconnected wires. A third issue is poor communication between the module's wires and the immobiliser unit: you will need to consult the immobiliser diagram to measure continuity between the two modules and possibly repair the wiring.

The fourth problem is a lack of power to the module, so the first thing to do is check the fuse box. Number five is a damaged immobiliser module that does not communicate with the system. If the wires, antenna, and key are in good condition, then the problem is definitely the module.
