How to Change Brake Discs

Let's look at the disassembly of the disc brakes on your car. Lift the vehicle with a jack or a column lift, then remove the wheel. Unscrew the pins with a socket wrench or air drill and pull off the rim. Next, start unscrewing the pins of the brake caliper to detach it from the bracket. Use a screwdriver to detach the brake pads, remove the caliper bracket, and unscrew the pins on the brake disc (using a Torx screwdriver). Pull the disc towards you with your hands to slide it off the wheel hub. Fit the new disc in place of the one removed earlier.
