Operation: How to replace a Ford clutch pedal return spring.

In this guide we will see how to replace the clutch return spring on a Ford Focus. To start, we need to remove the panel located under the steering wheel; once removed, we will need to disconnect the hood opening cable and the diagnostic cable (circled in red in the video). For better access to the pedal area it is advisable to remove the driver's seat. Once these preparatory procedures have been carried out, it is necessary to unscrew the 4 nuts of the brake-clutch block (two upper and two lower). At this point it will be possible to act on the spring; let's slide it out, pushing it backwards to detach the hook and remove it. Let's replace it with the new one, making sure that the hook fits well into the space provided, both the rear one and the one on the pedal (shown at minute 1: 10). At the end of this operation it will be possible to proceed with the reassembly, making sure that all the bolts and cables are correctly put back in their place.
