Operation: How to replace front shock absorbers on a Fiat

In order to replace the front shock absorber of a Fiat group car it is necessary to: remove the wheel after lifting the car, first remove the upper support plate of the shock absorber, then remove all the wiring and the 10 mm nut that holds it the brake hoses which are located above the brake disc. Use some unscrew to loosen the two screws that hold the shock absorber to the spindle, at this point the shock absorber is free and can be extracted. Then take the kit that allows you to keep the coils of the spring under tension and tension the spring itself. Then remove the nut that locks the spring to the shock absorber (buffer, bearing and plate) so as to be able to extract the shock absorber from the spring. Take the new shock absorber and the new dust cover and reposition the plate with its bearing and buffer, tighten the nut again and then loosen the spring tension kit. At this point repeat all the operations backwards to reassemble all the components.
