What happens if the injector discharges into the passenger compartment? It means that the injector bleeds because the copper sealing ring is no longer holding. In fact, residues of unburned diesel fuel are deposited on this ring, and acrid smells of exhaust gases are created in the engine and then in the passenger compartment. Obviously it is a very harmful gas for our lungs. This bad smell is combined with a very annoying metallic noise and an increase in consumption. What is the solution? To replace this copper gasket, after having cleaned and descaled the injector, of course. Here the youtuber shows us the injector housing already cleaned. Naturally, the more these warnings are neglected, the greater the difficulty in extracting the injector which will be more encrusted, because the unburned diesel oil vitrifies and therefore becomes practically a single block, and at that point it will be necessary to replace the injector as well.

First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again! by ScegliAuto More videos
