If the question is: can FAP and DPF systems be removed from a diesel car? The answer is "NO"; it is absolutely illegal, unless done for sporting purposes on a vehicle used on a track. The problem in our lovely country is that a vehicle without a particulate filter (at present, mind you) has no difficulty passing the MOT, as the car is checked with an opacity meter.

If the car has functioning injectors and is well maintained, it does not produce black smoke and will pass this test without issues. Remember that the removal of pollution control devices can only be done for sporting purposes.
