How Does the Anti-Theft Tag Work?

The anti-theft tag is a device that helps prevent car theft: when the driver exits the vehicle with the tag, the thief can only drive the car for a few metres. Indeed, when the vehicle moves away from the tag, it will stop immediately, start flashing, and the horn will sound intermittently. This will cause the thief to flee and give the driver a chance to recover the car: to turn it off, the tag must be inserted into the designated port located under the steering column. The anti-theft device can be installed by various workshops specialised in this type of work.
