The steering sensors are digital and have an important safety function for the car. It is called steering angle sensor precisely because it measures the input angle of the steering wheel. Basically, when we steer, the column is connected to the torque sensor which measures and records the angular movements of the column and communicates them to the control unit. The steering sensor is located around the steering column itself and to replace it it is necessary to disassemble the steering column, then extract the stem of the same and remove it from the column itself by disconnecting the electrical power supply terminal.
