How to Replace the Piston on the B48 Engine?

To replace the piston on the B48 engine, remove the engine from its housing by disconnecting the connectors, pipes, and unscrewing the bolts securing it to the corresponding mounts. Once the engine is extracted, unscrew the bolts securing the cylinder head to access the underlying components: the piston to be removed must be brought to top dead centre. Now rotate the engine and unscrew the bolts securing the lower oil seal, giving access to the crankshaft. By unscrewing the bolts securing the connecting rod to the crankshaft, you can slide the piston and the corresponding connecting rod out from the top of the engine bay. Then, by expanding the ring and removing the pin connecting the piston to the connecting rod, you can replace it with a new spare part.
