How to identify a car with a counterfeit chassis number

The chassis number of a vehicle is very important: when purchasing a used vehicle, you should always check it against the registration document to ensure it is not a counterfeit chassis. Unfortunately, there are cases where the chassis numbers of damaged and irrecoverable vehicles are replaced with those of stolen vehicles to put them back on the road.

Naturally, they no longer come with the registration document, but the likelihood of someone checking them is low unless there is a vehicle inspection or you are stopped by the police. To see who it has truly passed through, you need to check the back of the registration document, if the previous owner was honest. Because it is always possible to file a report, and then the document appears to have had no transfers (but they are recorded in the Certificate of Ownership).
