The chassis number of a car is very important: when buying a used car we should always check it, cross-referencing it with that in the vehicle registration document to verify that it is not a counterfeit chassis. Unfortunately there are cases in which the chassis numbers of damaged and unrecoverable cars are replaced with those of stolen cars, to put them back into circulation. Of course they never come back with the booklet, but the chances of anyone going to check them are slim, unless there's a motor vehicle inspection or the traffic police stop you. Another important document is the certificate of ownership, which tells us who owns the car and the number of previous owners. But to see who it really went through we have to see the back of the booklet. If whoever had it before was honest. Because it is always possible to make a complaint and then the booklet seems to have had no passages (but they result from the CdP). Then from the CdP it is important to check if there are mortgages; but from there we don't see if there are administrative stops. To see this we have to do a survey. Now the Certificate of ownership is dematerialized for new registrations, compared to the video, but the checks to be done are exactly the same, nothing has changed.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
