In this video, see how tyres behave with incorrect inflation pressure: when the tyre is inflated to the recommended value, it exerts a well-distributed pressure across the entire contact patch. If the inflation pressure is too low, the tread will tend to flex, causing the pressure in the centre to decrease while increasing at the edges of the tread, leading to abnormal wear. Conversely, excessive pressure will increase the load on the centre of the contact area, creating overpressure that will cause the tread to wear out more quickly.
