How to replace the intercooler pipe with a steel one

Model: (Various brands) Various
Part: Checks and maintenance

Video tutorial

In this video, learn how to replace the rubber intercooler pipe with a steel one, ensuring it won't leak anymore: start by removing the clamps holding the pipe in place. At the end of the connecting pipe, use silicone hoses for better sealing, then position a metal clamp.

Now, position the steel intercooler pipe: such pipes are available on major e-commerce sites, depending on the vehicle they are intended for. They come in steel, aluminium, or silicone: just choose. Connect it to the hoses, then tighten the metal clamps, two on each side.

Rubber pipes tend to expand, while this one remains rigid, allowing direct pressure.
