In this video, we will look at the general layout for installing a rear camera on a vehicle. This includes the wiring diagram from the camera to the unit; each person will adapt the cable routing to their own vehicle, whether through the seals or the headlining, as they see fit. After mounting the camera in position, you will have a yellow female RCA video input and a red female power connector. You will need a male RCA video extension cable connected to the female video socket, and a red power extension cable. Now connect the red wire from the extension to the positive 12 Volts red wire in the power socket (the power is supplied by the rear lights, but only if your vehicle does not have a CAN bus). The red extension cable must run the length of the vehicle to the unit; the red power cable is connected in reverse to the main wiring. For safety reasons, ensure that you install the wiring behind the airbag system, and perform all work with the vehicle turned off.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?
