Spacers are aluminum plates that go between the wheel's mounting surface and the wheel itself. Since the track width measurement is indicated in the vehicle registration document, modifying it means that we are breaking the law. If we get stopped and the Traffic Police realizes that spacers are installed and decides to measure the track width, at the very least, they will confiscate the vehicle registration document, send us for inspection, and issue a hefty fine. Additionally, spacers alter the steering response compared to factory settings, and never in a positive way, because they change the steering pivot point from the normal position. In general, it is not advisable practice.
