Why are cars designed for AdBlue?

In this video, see why modern cars are designed for AdBlue: they must comply with an emissions regulation called EURO 6, which sets the maximum limit that can only be met through SCR technology and the addition of the additive. If your vehicle has a small cap (usually blue) located near the diesel filler cap, it means it is equipped for this additive. However, sometimes the filler neck is found in the engine bay or in the boot. The consumption of the additive is linked to the vehicle's usage and your driving style, but on average, it requires between 1 and 3 litres of AdBlue every 1,000 miles, and there is a specific warning light that indicates when it is low. The tank can typically hold between 5 and 10 litres of additive, depending on the vehicle. The best way to avoid crystallisation is to keep the AdBlue tank as full as possible and not to wait until it is low to refill.
