In this video, we will explore some methods to repair plastics: the simplest, but least durable, is WD-40, or a dashboard renovator, which has a limited lifespan. Remember that in any case, the piece to which you apply the product must always be thoroughly cleaned first. If the plastic has white marks due to bending, the only solution is to reshape it with a high-temperature hairdryer. This will eliminate the bend. It is also the best way to restore it durably, provided it has no peeling but is just faded. If it has scratches and peeling, it must be cleaned well first, then treated with a special plastic filler, followed by sanding with very fine sandpaper, say 120 grit, to make it smooth. Finally, paint it with a plastic bonding primer, preferably applying a rough layer first and then a smooth one for finishing. This way, the colour will adhere well, and the piece will look as good as new.
