(Various brands) Various - Video tutorial
Model: (Various brands) Various
In this video, we can see how to deactivate the i-stop function on a Mazda. The i-stop function is the same as the "Start & Stop" function on other cars and it is used to improve fuel efficiency by turning off the engine when the vehicle comes to a complete stop, but the engine remains ready for a quick restart, so when you release the brake pedal, the engine restarts almost instantly. To temporarily deactivate it, we need to press the "I-stop off" switch located to the right of the steering wheel, which will illuminate to remind us that the function is deactivated. Please note that the system automatically reactivates with every vehicle restart.
