Operation: How to replace a CV joint

In this video we see how to replace a constant velocity joint: first of all a technical drawing shows us which are the important measurements to take in order to proceed with the purchase. First, we need to remove the boot, which if damaged we can cut easily. The joint can be secured on the driveshaft by a snap ring or a circlip; in any case, to separate the joint from the driveshaft, a rubber mallet will be enough. Before assembly, we compare the two joints to make sure they are identical; we replace the snap ring, then we fit the boot, then we place the joint on the snap ring and push it into place; usually the appropriate grease is included in the assembly kit; we squeeze it into the boot and then secure the boot with the clamps. Operation completed.

Today we will see, in this video tutorial, how to remove and replace the gear knob on the second series Lancia Ypsilon, but also on the Lancia Musa, in simple and quick steps. We get inside the car and start by removing the old gear knob; to do this, just unscrew it anticlockwise, as shown in the video.
