How to adjust the external rearview mirror accurately

In this video we can see how to adjust the external rearview mirror correctly to accurately determine the distance between the back of the car and the vehicle that is about to overtake us. The angle of the left rearview mirror must be adjusted to see the front door handle, and in the same way the mirror on the right side must also be adjusted. In this way we will have the widest possible field of view on the mirror; when it is divided in two halves, remember that the right side is the safety distance, while the left side is the danger distance. In fact, when the car appears in the right half it means that the vehicle is still far away, while when we see it on the left side it means that it is overtaking us, the vehicle is close and it is not possible to change lanes.
