How to change the fuel tank strap

Model: (Various brands) Various
Part: Checks and maintenance

In this video we see how to change the strap of the fuel cap, a component that tends to break quite easily due to gasoline fumes, or due to the extreme temperatures that the rubber must endure behind this flimsy metal cover. In the video we see how to change only the strap, leaving the rubber ring around the cap intact. However, we recommend buying the whole kit (ring + strap) because it costs practically the same amount, and makes the operation much simpler. You can find the kit, for example, on Amazon with the code B0BCQ5R1W1 at a price of 7.99, with free delivery for Prime customers.

How to Remove the Front Shock Absorber on a Peugeot 406

How to remove the front shock absorber on a Peugeot 406? The first step is to lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts (engine bay), lift the car on a column lift and remove the front wheel. Unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts at the wheel hub (detach the brake line clips with a screwdriver). Unscrew the bolts on the side, then remove the shock absorber from its housing (place a support under the bar). Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation. Fit the new shock absorber to the car, working in reverse order.
