To ensure that clean air circulates in the ventilation system of the Volkswagen T5 cabin, you must periodically replace the dedicated filter. To do this, sit in the passenger seat, and using a T20 Torx key, unscrew the three screws that secure the panel under the glove compartment.

Then, using a 7mm socket, unscrew the screws that hold the filter cover, open it, and remove the old filter element. Replace it with a new one, ensuring the airflow direction is correct, close the cover, tighten its screws, reposition the panel, and tighten the three fixing screws.
