Replacement of the trunk lock of the Volkswagen Tiguan

Below we will see step-by-step instructions on how to disassemble and replace the rear tailgate lock of the Volkswagen Tiguan. First, we open the rear tailgate and start unscrewing the plastic trim screws with a Ford T20 key, in order to remove it; we use an 8 mm key to unscrew the screws of the tailgate lock, disconnecting its electrical connector to remove it, as shown in the video. At this point, we replace and install the new tailgate lock, finally reassembling the interior trim of the rear tailgate!
