Learn how to reset the service light on a Volkswagen Golf. This is a very simple operation. Enter the vehicle, turn on the ignition, and observe the warning light. With the ignition on, press the button located near the car's speedometer. When the service message appears, turn the left button to the right to select the mileage for the new service reminder. Turn off the ignition again. Check upon the next ignition that the service light is off. Always remember to make changes to the onboard computer with the ignition off.
