How do we remove the glass from the wing mirror on a Volkswagen Golf 7? Follow this guide to proceed. Using a plastic or rubber spatula, lever between the frame of the mirror and the glass. Apply leverage until the glass separates from the mirror; this is a delicate operation as the glass or the mirror itself may break. Once the damaged glass is removed, disconnect the power connector for the glass, pressing on the locking clips to detach the mirror cover. Finally, replace the damaged part with the new one. Ensure the plastic snap clips engage properly in the mirror supports.
