How to Replace the Spark Plugs on a VW Polo

Model: Volkswagen Polo MK IV, Polo IV, Polo 4, MK 4, 9N - Years 2001-2009

Position the car on a ramp to secure it, or park it on level ground, engage a gear, and pull the handbrake. Open the front bonnet of the engine compartment. Remove the plastic cover from the engine block and set it aside after unlocking the connections holding it in place. Locate the oil filler neck of the engine. Unscrew the cap and plug the hole with absorbent paper. At this point, use a screwdriver to remove the electrical supply cables from the spark plugs and then extract the electrical connection to the spark plugs themselves. Now, using the appropriate socket, unscrew the spark plugs you intend to replace and fit the new ones. Once this operation is complete, you can proceed to reassemble all the components you removed back into their original positions. And that’s it.
