How to replace the headlight bulb of a Volkswagen Passat?

To replace the headlight bulb of a Volkswagen Passat, start by turning off the engine and make sure the headlights are cool to avoid burns. Open the hood and locate the back of the headlight assembly. Remove the protective plastic cover by either rotating it or unclipping it, depending on the model. Once removed, access the bulb holder: gently unclip it following the instructions in the vehicle manual. Remove the faulty bulb by gently pulling it out or rotating it, depending on the type of attachment. Take the new bulb, being careful not to touch the glass with your hands to avoid grease residue that could damage it during use. Insert it into the same housing as the previous one, making sure it is securely in place. Reposition the bulb holder and reattach the protective cover. Close the hood and check that the headlight is working properly by turning on the headlights. If the bulb does not light up, make sure it was installed correctly or check the vehicle's fuses.
