In order to deactivate the traction control of the Volkswagen Golf, you need to turn on the instrument panel by inserting the ignition key into the corresponding slot. Once the panel is turned on, you can press the "Setup" option and then "ESC System". Now you can uncheck "Activated" and check "ASR off": this way you will see the indicator light for the deactivation of the control appear on the instrument panel.

You can reactivate it at any time from the same menu.
