Replacement of the air filter of the Volkswagen Polo 5

Replacing, at the scheduled intervals, the air filter that feeds the injection system of the Volkswagen Polo allows the engine to operate at its best performance and keep fuel consumption under control. To change it, we open the hood of the engine compartment, disconnect the hose to the right of the filter box, unscrew the screws on the edge of the cover with a crosshead screwdriver and remove it. We remove the old filter element, cover the air inlet with a cloth and clean the box with a blast of compressed air. We insert the new filter, making sure the rubber edge adheres well, close the cover and secure it with its screws, and reattach the side flexible hose.
